Look What I Be Doin' | Fresh Til Death Nails

I love this nail design.  Fresh til death is what I always say.  I mean come on people, lets get real now.  I have so much swag(Something We Arabs Got).  Hehe yea I am thinking high of myself, but that is OK.  Sometimes...then it gets to the point where everyone thinks you're a bitch.   I don't get to that point, but trust me there are people who do.  People get on my nerves sometimes, especially the girl at work who didn't know what "fresh" meant.  Let me just remember everyone what it means while I'm at it.   To me it means to have good style, money, and just being myself.  And of course being clean.  LOL.  This design was simple to do.   I only had trouble with my doing my right hand because I'm right handed, but the design came out the same.   It took me two hours to do too!  Totally worth it.

What I used to achieve this fresh design:
OPI Fly
OPI Need Sunglasses?
OPI Did it on 'em
OPI If you Moust you Moust
Layla CE 27
Wet N Wild Clear Nail Protector
Poshe Top Coat
Americana Lamp Black
Assorted rhinestones

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara | 2013 Colors

Here is another post on the Maybelline colored mascaras.  I have three colors from 2012 release; Go Go Green, Blink of Blue and Totally Teal.  I missed out on the purple one.  I did do a post awhile ago on two of the colors, Go Go Green and Blink of Blue.  For some reason I didn't review Totally Teal.  This year however, Maybelline released another limited edition colored mascara collection.  I didn't get the green, blue and teal ones because I already had them from last year, but I did end up purchasing the other three; Wink of Pink, So Very Berry, and Vision in Violet.  These were OK.  Some more wearable than the other but still good.  I had no problems with application.

Wink of Pink.  This was surprisingly the most opaque out of the three.  I did two coats for it to look like that.  It is a very unique color to wear as mascara.  Eye catching as well.  Hot pink lashes LOL.  I don't know if I'd really call this wearable though.

Vision of Violet.  I figured since my lashes were dark the color wouldn't show as well so I did two coats.  Still didn't make a difference but it is slightly noticeable.

So Very Berry.  Kind of opaque.  I think the color really flatters me.  I need to wear some neutral and brown eyeshadows and I'll be good to go.

China Glaze Fast Track

I did cut down my nails.  Only temporarily though.

Arab Inspired Makeup | Pink and Purple

This is probably my favorite makeup look I have done so far.  I love incorporating different colors into one look, especially pinks and purples.  Those colors make my eyes stand out more with this style of makeup too.  I mainly went for frosty and shimmery colors, even for the highlight.  I love looking dramatic!  I went out to smoke hookah with some friends and got so many compliments.  Go big or go home, right?

What's Up With Them Lips | Pink and Blue Lips

I'm sure a lot of you noticed my background imagine and yes, those are my lips!  I want my blog to look unique, so I decided to put on two colors and take a picture.  With some editing, I think it came out great.  I made sure to pick colors that really go well with each other.  Mixing them up when I was done gave me a really pretty color.  I also taught myself a good technique for mixing colors as well.  The only trouble I had when doing this was making sure the colors don't touch.  Imagine if I went out in public like this....omg.  I would do it though actually, who knows I might start some trend LOL.  I'm also in need of wearing my blue lipstick.  Public reactions are one of my favorite parts when looking unique. :)

No I did not make my lips bigger!!!

Lipsticks used:
CoverGirl Enchantress
BlackHeart Beauty Icy

Look What I be Doin' | Ghetto Fab Nails

I love my long nails, and what I love more about them is how much room I have for nail art.  Getting designs on my nails are costly, and honestly, I'm not about to pay for that when I can make my nails look fresh out of the nail salon.  Since I have a unique style, I must have unique looking nails.  Honestly, I think the design came out very well, and some of my friends didn't believe at first that I did them.  My nails may not be one hundred percent WTF ghetto, but they do look pretty raw in a sense that only "black/hood/ghetto/Hispanic" women may get.  Haha I don't know what I just said but listen, if you want to recreate this look on your nails with these products or whatever you have, then keep reading a little more OK? For me? :)

Products used:
Sinful Colors Rise and Shine
Sinful colors Bianca
Sinful Colors Pull Over
Savvy Touch of Glitter
Americana Lamp Black
American Snow White
Silver Rhinestones

I painted all my nails with Rise and Shine. I sponged on Bianca then Pull Over.  Waited for the colors to dry then added Touch of Glitter.  Painted black and white lines and dots.  Added rhinestones and finally top coated the whole design.  So Easy right?  :)

Reptile Print Featuring Croc Nail Effects

I feel so special since I have this polish now.  My cousin recently went to the UK, and of course I had her get me nail polish!  I particularly wanted Barry M.  Barry M is not available in the US.  I asked for the crocodile crackle nail polish and I got it.  LOL.  she also bought me two limited edition summer colors that didn't appear to have names, 321 and 322.  OK so now I have a brand not available in the US, limited edition, a crackle effect not found by other US brands, my stash has a whole new meaning!!

Polishes Used:
Finger Paints Lemon Sour
Barry M Burgundy Croc

Barry M Burgundy Croc:  Applied like a crackle polish, effect appears as it dries, better results when a medium thick coat is applied, and dries shiny.

Neon Yellow Splatter Nails

The yellow was insanely bright!  I couldn't take a picture of the true color.  Neons are difficult to capture on camera, but I managed to take some good pictures.  Splatter nail polish is very in this season, and for those who don't know what splatter nail polish is; it is typically black and white glitter of all sizes that look like polka dots when applied to the nail.  Of course when a trend comes out, all brands must have it in their line, and guess who's the girl that buys them all! ;)

Polishes used:
Wet n Wild Pin' Em Slater
Icing Milky Way

Icing Milky Way:  black and white hexagonal glitter, small round glitter and black bar glitter.  (I believe I used two coats)?

Attempted Giraffe Print

This looks nothing like what I had in mind.  I love giraffes and why not recreate their print on my nails?  My attempt failed!  I used a very easy technique which required to paint a thick coat of my base color, and then let the spots color drip onto the nail to created irregular and elongated shapes.  Now this was trial and error.  First, I noticed if the base color was too thick, the polish had a tendency to run off the sides.  Second, if the polish is too thin, the spots wont spread right, obviously.  I did get it right on some nails and others not so much.  Also, make sure the spots are close together as possible too.  After this design was complete, I realized my nails look like chocolate chip cookies and not giraffe print.  Total fail!  If my base color was more of a yellow and not khaki, then it possibly would be more convincing.  Overall, it was still a cute design.

Polishes used:
Finger Paints Don't Make A Scene
China Glaze Mahogany Magic

Neon Summer nails with studs

Such a perfect summer look, so neony and such.  Well it did brighten my day even though the weather in the CLE is bi-polar. LOL.  The orange is China Glaze Sun Worshiper, which is very bright and thin.  It took up to four coats to get it near opaque!!  The blue is Sinful Colors Endless Blue.  I also glammed it up a bit by adding silver triangle studs and orange rhinestones.  If you don't have nails like mine, then don't panic!  You can put studs on your nails too :))
